NRGym-BootCamp

NRGym’s boot camp is an outdoor group exercise class that mixes traditional body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. While there are a variety of styles of fitness boot camps, most are designed in a way that pushes the participants harder than they'd push themselves and, in that way, resemble a military boot camp.

 

During the class, you'll perform lots of push ups and various forms of plyometric and interval training with little rest between exercises. These fitness classes have grown in popularity over the years primarily because they offer a new way to get a low-cost, efficient and challenging workout. They definitely aren't for every exerciser, but with our instructors, these fitness classes get fast results and create a supportive and motivational community of like-minded people.

 

One underlying component of a good boot camp fitness class is creating a spirit of teamwork and group support and cohesion.

 

Why choose NRGym Boot Camp?

1. It's Effective - Outdoor fitness classes are a proven and trusted way of getting fit, losing weight and feeling great. The average total calories burned during a sesession is 640, though this figure rises much higher the more you train with us. The average distance covered in a beginner class is 5km – but remember, we never leave anyone behind! 

 

2. It's Different – a lot of people give up on fitness programmes because they become bored. That doesn’t happen at NRGym. Variety and making every session different is the key to our success. Each week you’ll be put through a challenging, effective workout with team games, paired exercises, circuits, tabbing (Tactical Advance to Battle), strength work and running.

 

 3. You are part of the Team - you are not alone. Every week, you’ll be with your fellow recruits. With the encouragement of your instructor you’ll be helping each other out, keeping everyone going and keeping them moving. They’ll be doing the same for you – NRGym Bootcamp is all about getting fit together.

 

The combination of the team and Instructor’s positive motivational style will help you achieve things you may not believe you were capable of.

 

What is a typical class like

There is no ‘typical’ class. Each instructor is different and each session is varied to stop both your mind and body getting bored. It’s a whole body workout designed to improve your stamina, speed, agility and strength in a fun and interesting ways. We guarantee that some of the exercises we do will be completely new to you. At each class participants are divided into ability groups of around 15 people. Classes start with a warm up followed by at least 50 minutes of individual, pairs and team exercises, we end with a cool down and stretch.

 

Instructors and members are a friendly bunch and are always keen to welcome a new face. We make sure that each individual works to their own level of fitness within the group. It’s a real skill, but our instructors have year’s worth of experience.

 

Do I need to be superfit:

No – but you do need to be committed to improving your level of fitness with a good workout. Don’t worry if you lack motivation – we’re here to help you get fit. We cater for all levels of fitness by dividing the class into ability groups, blue for beginner, red for intermediate and green for advanced. We have equal numbers of men and women at our classes of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels. Members’ ages range from 16 to 70.
